Our Commitment to Accessibility
At EGO Digital Agency, we are committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We strive to provide a user experience that is inclusive and barrier-free, in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. We believe everyone should have equal access to information and functionality on our Site, and we are continuously working towards improving accessibility.
Our efforts to ensure accessibility are grounded in the relevant accessibility laws and standards internationally, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in the United States, the Equality Act 2010 in the UK, and Israel's regulations under the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law. By following WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines, we aim to meet or exceed the requirements of these laws.
To provide a web experience that is accessible to the widest possible audience, we have taken the following measures on our website:
Adherence to Standards: Our site is built using modern, semantic HTML5 and CSS, which aids assistive technologies in interpreting content correctly. We aim for our site’s structure and content to conform with WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria.
Text Alternatives: All meaningful images and non-text content on our site have text alternatives ("alt text" for images, captions or transcripts for multimedia) so that users who cannot see images (or who use screen readers) can receive equivalent information. Purely decorative images or icons have empty alt attributes or are handled in ways to be ignored by assistive tech.
Keyboard Accessibility: We ensure that all website functionality is available via keyboard alone (for users who cannot use a mouse). You can navigate through our pages using the Tab key and other keystrokes. Interactive elements (like menus, links, form fields, buttons) are reachable and operable via keyboard, and there are visible focus indicators to help track your position on the page.
Readable and Clear Content: We present text in a way that is easy to read. We use clear fonts, appropriate text sizing, and sufficient color contrast between text and background. Our default text size is relative (so you can zoom in/out), and our content avoids excessive jargon. Where possible, we break up long paragraphs and use headings, lists, and other formatting to improve readability.
Responsive Design: Our site is designed to be responsive to different devices and screen sizes, so content is accessible whether you’re on a desktop, tablet, or mobile phone. This also helps users who may need to magnify the screen heavily—content should reflow properly and not cut off.
Consistent Navigation: We maintain a consistent layout and navigation structure across our site. Menus and links are generally in the same places, and common actions are performed similarly, to reduce the learning curve for all users. Repetitive navigation links can be skipped by keyboard users via a "Skip to Main Content" link at the top of each page (which is visible when focused).
Forms and Labels: Our forms have clearly associated labels with input fields, and we provide instructions or hints where needed. We also ensure that form errors are communicated clearly (in text) and, where possible, that the fields in error are indicated with textual messages or cues (in addition to color changes).
Headings and Landmarks: We use headings (H1, H2, H3, etc.) in a logical order to structure our pages. We also utilize ARIA landmarks (like role="navigation" or role="main") to help assistive technology users navigate sections of the page easily.
Alternative Access for Media: If we publish video content, we aim to provide captions or transcripts. For audio content like podcasts, transcripts or textual summaries are provided for those who cannot hear the audio. (If you find any media without an alternative, please let us know and we will prioritize creating one.)
Accessibility Testing: We periodically test our website using a combination of manual checks and automated tools. This includes using screen reader software (such as NVDA or VoiceOver) to navigate key pages, and automated scans with tools like WAVE or axe to catch common issues. We address issues that are identified during these reviews.
Training and Awareness: Our web development team and content creators are trained on accessibility best practices. Accessibility is considered at each stage of development or content creation. We also consult with accessibility experts as needed to review our efforts and keep abreast of the latest techniques and guidelines.
We are actively working toward full compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. We believe our site is partially conformant with these guidelines; that is, some parts of the content may not fully meet the accessibility standard yet. Our goal is to achieve and maintain full conformance.
We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing process and not a one-time effort. As web technology and guidelines evolve, we will continue to adapt and improve to ensure an inclusive experience. We regularly update our site to fix issues and enhance accessibility.
We have conducted an internal audit most recently in March 2025 and addressed several areas for improvement identified at that time. For example, we improved color contrast in our footer text, added missing form labels on our contact page, and ensured our menu can be navigated via keyboard more intuitively.
Our aim is to support the needs of all our users. In cases where we identify a gap in conformance, we either have a plan to fix it or offer an alternative method of accessing the information (as a temporary measure).
Despite our best efforts, users may encounter some limitations:
Third-Party Content: Some sections of our site include content from third parties (for example, an embedded Google Map for our office location, or a third-party chatbot tool). We do not have full control over the accessibility of this content. For instance, the Google Map iframe might not be fully navigable by screen reader. As an alternative, we provide our address in text and directions via a link. If an embedded third-party widget is not accessible, please contact us and we will try to provide the information through an accessible means.
PDFs or Downloadable Files: We try to ensure any PDF or downloadable documents on our site are accessible (tagged PDFs with proper reading order and bookmarks). However, some older PDFs might not meet all accessibility standards. If you have trouble accessing the content of any document, contact us and we will gladly provide the information in an alternate format.
Media Alternatives: While we strive to caption and transcribe all multimedia, there might be a slight delay between a video going live and the availability of its captions/transcripts. If you need a caption or transcript that is missing, please let us know and we will prioritize its creation.
Responsive Behavior: In very high zoom or on very small screens, some layout elements may appear differently. We aim to ensure that nothing overlaps or becomes unusable. If you encounter issues at a particular zoom level or screen size, please inform us about the specifics (device, browser, zoom percentage) so we can investigate.
Unforeseen Issues: There may be pages or UI components that we inadvertently missed or whose accessibility can be improved (e.g., a link with a vague description, or a video missing an alt attribute on its thumbnail). As soon as we become aware of such issues, we work to fix them.
We welcome feedback on any accessibility issues you find — we’re committed to learning and improving.
We actively welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you encounter any accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please reach out to us:
